Continuous Deployment: Yes or No?

Continuous Deployment is one of the new, albeit controversial, best practices techniques in Application LifeCycle Management (ALM). It's a process whereby all code that is written for an application is immediately deployed into other environments. The result is a dramatic decrease of cycle time. It has enabled companies to automatically deploy new code to other environments as often as they need. At first, many associate continuous deployment with low-quality code or an undisciplined cowboy-coding development process, continuously deploying code to production. On the contrary, continuous deployment requires tremendous discipline and can greatly enhance software quality by applying a rigorous set of standards to every change. This prevents regressions, outages, and harm to key business metrics. In this session, you will learn how you can leverage the VSTS platform along with an InCycle solution to perform continuous deployment within your organization.
