NYC VS UG: Release Management is Complex & Inefficient

Release Management is Complex & Inefficient Complex - Release management encompasses every aspect of the software development lifecycle, requires knowledge of various operating systems, software application platforms, and an intimate understanding of the different business functions and their diverse perspectives. Inefficient - Software teams spend too much time and effort executing the release process. Manual and semi-manual processes are both cumbersome and error prone --- rendering the release process slow, costly and unpredictable. Despite the key contribution from each department, disparate and disjointed tools plague the process with inefficiencies. Claude will address the many challenges and best practices related to Release Management and will introduce InRelease 2010. InRelease addresses these problems head-on by providing an automated release management solution that leverages Microsoft Visual Studio. InRelease makes release management predictable, transparent and efficient. Moreover, and by means of enabling solid release management practices, InRelease ensures that when software is built, it will be successfully deployed to customers for consumption. Sound release management affords the opportunity to satisfy existing customers and win new ones as well.
